FENSA
Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It is a competent person’s scheme and industry standard founded by the GGF. When a homeowner commissions new windows, doors or roof lights to replace existing glazing they are required to ensure that replacements comply with current thermal performance standards and Building Regulations. To do this they need to get a certificate stating that the glazing is compliant.
Cosyseal has had its windows/doors pretested to show we adhere to current Building Regulations standards for thermal insulation. We issue a certificate of compliance for the homeowner’s records without them having to contact the Local Building Authority.
CHAS
The Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme demonstrates compliance with, and sound management of, current Health & Safety Legislation.
ConstructionLine
Originally established by the UK government in 1998, it was later acquired and operated by Capita business services under a concession from The Department of Trade and Industry. ConstructionLine Accreditation demonstrates how we achieve the National Standard.
Recycling
Cosyseal Building Products’ Environmental Management System has been accredited to ISO 9001.
The organisations have been recycling both 1st generation PVC-U windows for many years. 1st generation is the name for old PVC-U windows which are being replaced.
Whilst the 1st generation frames are normally still functional, the glazing system may be low security and many of the windows are single glazed, also the locking mechanism is often very basic. Our clients have decided to replace them to improve the security and energy efficiency.
